Robusta Lower Grade (Unroasted)
Cost-Effective Robusta for High-Volume Blends and Instant Coffee.
$12.00$10.00
The Ultimate Base for Cost Control, Maximum Caffeine, and High-Volume Production.
This product is for the buyer whose priority is affordability and high yield. Our Lower Grade Robusta consists of green beans that fall outside the strict grading standards for Grade 1 and Grade 2. This means you should expect beans with more visual inconsistencies, varying sizes, and a higher count of acceptable physical defects (e.g., broken beans, immature beans, color variations).
Maximum Economic Value: This is the most cost-effective option for achieving the fundamental characteristics of Robusta. It is priced for bulk commercial use and high-volume production.
Intended Use: This grade is the industry standard for products where cost is the primary concern and intense flavor notes are preferred:
Instant Coffee Manufacturing
High-Volume, Budget-Friendly Blends
Pre-Ground Institutional Coffee
Adding a significant, affordable caffeine kick to existing blends.
Guaranteed Potency: Despite the lower visual grade, the unroasted beans retain the high native caffeine and low oil content of the Robusta species, ensuring a full-bodied, dense, and powerfully strong cup after roasting.
Inconsistent Roasting: Due to the varied bean sizes and defect count, achieving a perfectly uniform roast is challenging. We recommend a darker roast profile (Full City to French Roast) to homogenize the flavors and mask any potential off-notes (such as earthiness or bitterness) that may arise from defects.
Flavor Expectation: The resulting cup will be heavily bold and bitter, with traditional earthy and grainy undertones. It performs best in preparations that involve milk and sugar (like Vietnamese coffee) or when blended with higher-grade Arabica to boost body and volume.
